Last Friday, Mr Trump took his first action in what he thinks will make trade fair again. They said Mr Trump had placed Thailand and 15 other nations on a list of "foreign importers that cheat". Or, as we say in Thailand, "trade surplus". When we were lumped into the world list of "third world countries" Thailand received most-favoured nation (MFN) trade status. There is huge danger that Mr Trump is going to take the US to a fortress-America reality never seen in 70 years.
